A: Most experts advise using methylated spirits (methyl alcohol), followed by a wash. UK based readers are fortunate for they can easily buy a "Stain Devil", a range of chemical stain removers, one of which is designed to remove ballpoint stains. A: Stain Devils Hi, I notice in the how to remove stains section, someone recommended "Stain Devil" and implied that it was not readily available, except in the UK.
